Denise Wiseman
Denise Wiseman is a catalyst for change in healthcare, bringing her expertise in system transformation, patient experience, and collaborative leadership to the forefront of reimagining what healthcare can be. With a deep understanding of the barriers that prevent meaningful change, she has dedicated her career to breaking down silos, fostering connection, and amplifying the voices of those working to build a more just and effective healthcare system.
As a co-founder of the Healthcare Reinvention Collaborative (HRC), Denise is leading efforts to unite changemakers from across the healthcare ecosystem—clinicians, innovators, and advocates—who see the need for a fundamentally different approach. Through HRC, she works to illuminate and support those who are driving transformation, ensuring that no one pushing for change has to do it alone.
Denise believes that lasting impact comes not from isolated efforts, but from a networked approach where people share ideas, learn from one another, and take courageous action together. She is committed to shifting healthcare’s focus from profit-driven models to human-centered care, where collaboration and systemic thinking drive meaningful progress.
Her work is rooted in a simple but powerful truth: healthcare should serve people first. Through HRC, Denise is helping to create a space where those who believe in this vision can find the support, tools, and partnerships they need to turn ideas into action.

As the President and Founder of Influencing Healthcare, LLC, established in 2008, she leverages her leadership and clinical experience to foster collaborative healthcare cultures through coaching, workshops, and retreats. Her approach centers on communication, compassion, community, and connection.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Ellison played a pivotal role in promoting well-being among healthcare professionals. Serving as the leader of engagement and well-being in a large healthcare organization, she collaborated to create accessible resources to support her colleagues during these challenging times. She also conducted retreats focused on post-traumatic growth, relationship building, and decision-making for healthcare units recovering from the pandemic.

She is also a global steward of the Art of Hosting, utilizing these skills to create inclusive spaces for robust conversations.
Her advocacy work extends to the Minnesota Medical Association, where she served on a physician well-being task force that guided legislative changes in Minnesota, was a champion for Communication and Optimal Resolutions (CANDOR) which resulted in legislative wins for patient safety and physician well-being and lobbied the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice to revise their attestations to remove stigma involved with mental health treatment.
Dr. Ellison's multifaceted career reflects her unwavering commitment to improving healthcare delivery and fostering well-being among both patients and healthcare professionals.
