Join us for our monthly Shine a Light event, where we celebrate our members’ amazing work!
Our time together is 90 minutes. The first hour is designated to shining a light on the incredible work of members of the community, and the remaining 30 minutes are for Networking Conversations. You can join us for the event, networking, or both. Your choice!
Why Attend?
Hear from fellow members about their latest projects, successes, and ongoing work.
Find inspiration, offer help, or connect with someone who might have the solution you're looking for.
Share your own progress, and let others in the HRC community know how they can support you.
How It Works:
Submit Your Story: If you’d like to present, submit your project or success story to us in advance for approval. Reach out to Dawn Ellison or Denise Wiseman for details.
Each presenter will have a total of 10 minutes to describe what they are doing, ask for what they need from the community, offer what they can to the community, and answer participant questions.
Open Mic: Time permitting, we may offer an open mic for spontaneous sharing.
Ask for What You Need, Offer What You Can: Whether you’re seeking input, offering advice, or simply shining a light on your work, this event is about building connections and celebrating progress.
Agenda:
Welcome & Introductions (~5 min)
Member Presentations - Each presenter has a total of 10 minutes.
Closing Highlights (~10 min) - We’ll wrap up with key HRC highlights
Optional Networking Conversations (30 min)
After the event, we’ll capture the connections on our social network map. The full event recording will be made available in the Network Member Lobby, and short recordings of each presenter may be featured in future posts on the platform or LinkedIn.
What are Networking Conversations?
Participants are sent into break-out rooms of two to three, randomly selected by Zoom.
Seven minutes allow for brief introductions. It is up to you to exchange contact information and follow up if you wish for a more extended conversation.
The group returns and is quickly sent into break-out rooms again.
This continues until our time is up.
